I have REALLY flat hair... any tips for volume at the crown?

use a shampoo and conditioner special to add "fullness" to your hair - blow it dry with your head upsidedown - then flip your head back and brush it in place and will appear fuller - there are also some great products at beauty salons that work too - my favorite brand is Pantene - when you add conditioner only apply to 1/3 lower part of your hair not the scalp cuz the conditioner will weigh it down too much.

For volume , if you don't mind using mousse, you can put a little at the roots of your hair and then blow dry with your head upside down.

Do not listen to anybody! My mom is a stylist and the best product,(not an opinion) is Bumble and Bumble! If you go on the site, they have a bunch of stuff for flats.

Hope it Helps!

When you blow dry your hair, flip your hair upside down and blow dry it upside down. That will create a little "boost" in your volume.

Also try teasing your hair a little bit.

yea, its most definately blowing your hair dry with it flipped over. also check conditioners for labels for hair that needs volume.

go have a body perm,or wave perm done.have them use the,

white and gray rods, these perms help give some puff, some

body, and not to much, you can use other rods, but these work just ask good, specaily if you don't want to much body and/or curls.

these type of perms the rods and chemicals don't need to stay in long at all, because you only want some and not all of the full

power the perm stuff is to do.good-luck..

You could get shorter layers. That and the right product ( which I see everyone else has given good answers - mouse, etc..) will definatly perk your hair right up.

Avon sells a great Volumizing shampoo and conditioner, plus it smells great just follow the directions on the back of the bottle.

tigi makes a product under their catwalk line called root boost that works well. just don't use too much of it. also if you go to bed with your hair wet with a little bit of mousse in it up in a towel it will have rediculious volume in the morning.
