i'm in my 3rd yr of HS now, going 4th yr, throughout my entire HS life, i had long hair thats always tied in a pony tail or let down, but i'm tired of that. so i want a new hairstyle thats short, and will wow people, so people would notice me.

You do not look ugly or scary! The best thing to do is look around for the style that you like. There are lots of sites on the net. Photos etc on site below good place to start. Take your time to find what you like.

Short hair may seem like an easy fix but, on the days that you don't feel like styling it and want you throw it in to a pony tail, you can't. I would suggest getting some layers put in to your hair to add some volume and get it trimmed so that it flatters your face. This way you look nice with it down, put up, and even whisked into a pony tail.

An asymmetrical bob would look fantastic on you, and wouldn't need much styling.
