if i have dark brown hair and i just want to dye the tips a bright pink color, do i HAVE to bleach the tips first or can i just apply the pink dye straight on the brown?

If you just add the pink, chances are it will be very dull. If you bleach it first it will be much more intense. I highly recommend "Intense Pink Brand" which you can get at any Sallys store or local salon. All it is is pink color with the bleach already mixed in so its all a one step process. The front of my hair is pink and I've used just about everything. Manic Panic is good too but it fades quickly.*

no it wont show up at all really, if you bleach first it will come out with a brilliant pink.

If you want vibrant color, you NEED to bleach first.

i'm pretty sure you have to bleach. It will turn out red if you dont.
