One product that is worth trying is Shikakai (obtainable from Hesh Products). This is Indian soapnut powder you mix to a paste and rub it in like mud and then wash off. It leaves it feeling wonderful, and I have a girlfriend who had shoulder-length at the start of 2004, and two years later it was to her waist.

The most important thing is to stay away from hairdressers! They will chop off two years growth in a sitting, and if you do that every few months, it will never get long. Instead, try and get a friend to do microtrims (not more than 1/2 inch, less if possible) with sharp scissors to keep the splits away. And when brushing, always brush the bottom four inches first, so that tangles will fall out.

No. There is no product to make your hair grow any faster than it does naturally, and if it claims to it's lying. Get extensions if you want it long.

All these vitamins people keep suggesting, do not make your hair grow faster. They improve the condition of your hair, preventing split ends, snapping etc. This then gives the illusion of longer, thicker hair because it's in top condition.

Take prenatal vitimins. Even if you not pregnant they are good for you and will make your hair grow really fast!! They are also safe for you too. I take them and I asked my doc before.
