I want to gel my hair straight up and color my dark brown hair green for my costume? Any tips on how

I'm going to stick my hair straight up and (temporarily) color it a bright color like green for my halloween costume. The only problem is that I have dark brown almost black hair. Anyone know any products I can use? Ive seen the sprays but I dont know if those will do anything. Also, any tips for sticking my hair straight up other than gel?

the sprays work fine on dark hair. use jello instead of gel to make ur hair stick straight up thas what the punk rockers do

yes... there is like green spray paint made just for hair..... and wet your hair and use some hair spray and hold your hair upside down until it is stiff
