You should tip anywhere from 10%-15%...

However, if you don't like the haircut you shouldn't feel obligated to leave any tip. Also, if the owner of the salon cuts your hair you may also not feel obligated to tip. I used to not know what was an appropriate tip, so I would leave $5 or whatever cash I had in my pocket...I have since grown up and learned that hairstylists rely on tips to make up a good portion of their income, like waiters.

Its common to give between 15 - 25% for any service recieved in a salon. You can give more or less, depending on how happy you are with the procedure, but standard is approx. 20%. You can always make your stylist's day with an extra couple bucks when she does a fabulous job.

Its about the same percentage that you would leave a waitress or waiter.

i would say between 15 AND 20 percent, if your not happy with your cut after i would say something and have them fix it then tip to how well they did!

You don't always have to tip, I tip when I am satisfied. For a $14 I usually give a couple dollars. It is dependent on you and the service you were given.

With waitresses it is usually 15-20 per cent, and again that is dependent on their service.
