Tips for dry hair?

I was reading similar questions and the answers mostly said just use conditioner, which I do lol so that was not too helpful. I also use Aussie moist cream when my hair is wet. I don't ever blow dry it. Instead I let my hair be naturally wavy. If it helps, I'm using Garnier as my shampoo (I stopped using Pantene because my hair stylist said that's an awful product) and I wash my hair every other day. Oh, and the weather could have something to do with it since I have been moving around a lot and this is my first winter in a really cold place. Any tips on what I could do or perhaps tell me what I may be doing wrong would be highly appreciated. Thank you!

Actually my stylist said that a lot of conditioner dries out your hair! It only smooths frizz. creams are good. I use Redkin 07 if that helps any. Winter is the worse for dry hair. Once it warms up the dryness should go away more.

Tips for dry hair?

washing your hair everday is bad, cuz your stripping your hair of its natural oils

Tips for dry hair?

vinegar and water - maybe you have hard water

Tips for dry hair?

All i can say is that the key to soft hair is a moisturized scalp.

Tips for dry hair?

I like Nexxus and i spray infusium 23 everday. always use conditioner and use a lot. garnier is good and so is biolage.

Tips for dry hair?

I use Garnier shampoo and conditioner, and my hair is just fine. Maybe you got chemicals or something in it? If you play around too much it will end up looking dry and damaged.

Tips for dry hair?

try putting a lil bit of conditioner in your hair after your get out of the shower

Tips for dry hair?

try tresemme shampoo and conditioner and you can still use aussie but i have no experience with that.

i use a product called juice but i got it at my hair stylist for when you have wet hair and it helps it to be straighter and keep it hydrated.

you could just buy whatever products your hair stylist sells at his shop because they usually have a stock of good stuff

and keep not blowing drying your hair, or if you dont want it to be all crazy you can blow dry it but dont blow dry it all the way, let it air dry somewhat.

When my daughters hair gets dry , my wife uses olive oil she heats it up in a cup leaves it on her hair for 5 minutes then she washes it it comes out so silky looking . Another thing she does when she goes by the hair dressers she picks up tea tree shampoo it works to . good luck .

Tips for dry hair?

Fructis is a really intense conditioner - my friend with really thick wavy hair swears by it - I found it actually overconditioned my hair, but maybe a good place to start if you have dry hair?

Tips for dry hair?

i am no hair specialist

but i would suggest some oil type stuff to put in your hair

you could use heat protectant, its like a conditioner when your hair is dry to protect it from the heat of a curling iron or flat iron or wa\hatever so if you use it w/o using heat the moisture should stay in your hair,

i also have this neat stuff it is 'garnier fructis sleek %26amp; shine'

it is an anti frizz 'leave in' serum but i use it during wheather changes when my hair is abnormally dry

the 'garnier fructis sleek %26amp; shine' says it could be used for dry hair on the bottle

i hope i helped :)

Tips for dry hair?

Try using an anti-frizz serum or maybe a pomade that you put on after you wash and towel dry your hair. I use one and it helps a lot. Also, I use a shampoo that I bought at the salon that is made with olive oil. And just a little of it goes a long way. I have thick, wavy hair that goes past my shoulders and I've had the same bottles of shampoo and conditioner for about 4 months and they are about half full. Also, a hair dress once told me to only wash dry hair every other day...that way the natural oils have a chance to work. And straightening with a lotion and blowdryer seems to work for me also...I just put on anti-frizz lotion afterward. Its worth a try!
